Martial Arts & Fitness Classes @ TIC

For those of you close to the downtown core here in Toronto, or for those willing to make the trek, the Toronto Islamic Centre & Community Services has some martial arts and fitness classes that they’re offering to the community. Class and registration info after the break.

Brothers’ (ages 15+) no gi BJJ classes are offered on Wednesday evenings (7:30-8:30pm) and Saturday mornings (9:00-10:00am). The classes are taught by my eldest son, Mustafaa, who has been training since the beginning 2018 and is currently a blue belt training out of Xtreme Couture in Etobicoke. Boys’ (ages 14 and under) no gi BJJ classes are offered Monday evenings (7:30-8:30pm) and Saturday mornings (9:00-10:00pm). These classes are taught by my son, Saleem, who has also been training since the beginning of 2018 out of Xtreme Couture and has recently been promoted to blue belt. Sisters’ (ages 13+) boxing/fitness classes are offered Monday and Wednesday evenings (7:45-9:15pm). These classes are taught by my wife, who was a former coach with Sister Fit T.O. with boxing coaching certification from Boxing Ontario and personal trainer certification from NASM. Brothers kickboxing and Muay Thai classes are offered Saturday morning (10:30am-12:00pm) and Sunday mornings (9:00-10:30am). These classes are taught by Coach Mohammed (Saturday), who is a WAKO Canada accredited coach from Bulldog MMA and Coach Zayan (Sunday) out of Siam #1’s Old School Muay Thai.
