The New Home & Other Things …

I’m posting this from work, so I’ll keep things short and sweet, so to speak.

I had intended to post up right after the move to the new digs, but I figured since my blog’s kind of dead that I didn’t need to rush to really give any updates right away—it’s not like I get tons of visitors here any how.

For those of you wondering (and who aren’t on my friends list on Facebook and thus, already know), the move went well. We’re finally starting to feel settled in at the new apartment we call home. I finally got around to unpacking my library last week and have shelved all my books. Everything’s pretty much organized how I want it, save the English books and the Arabic paperbacks—we just shelved them in no particular order and have to go through organizing them at another date. With that done, we’ve got all the important things unboxed and in place—and Allah’s is the praise! There are still some things to unpack, but there’s really no rush at the moment.

As for getting back to translating, I opened up the one I’m was working on last (al-Qawl al-Mufhim li man Ankar Maqalah Nusahhih wa La Nahdim) and did a few lines the other day, but other than that I haven’t gotten around to doing anything substantial. Not sure if I will be any time soon either. We’ll see though.

I’ll post up again later with more updates if need be and hopefully, we’ll see if I can get this blog going again.

About Rasheed Gonzales
My name is Rasheed Gonzales. I’m a Muslim convert of Filipino descent. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, I was guided to Islam through one of my younger brothers and a couple of friends, all of whom had converted to Islam sometime before me (may Allah reward them greatly). I am married with four children (and the praise is Allah’s) and also a volunteer for the Qur'an & Sunnah Society of Canada, based in Toronto.
