About Rasheed Gonzales
My name is Rasheed Gonzales. I’m a Muslim convert of Filipino descent. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, I was guided to Islam through one of my younger brothers and a couple of friends, all of whom had converted to Islam sometime before me (may Allah reward them greatly). I am married with four children (and the praise is Allah’s) and also a volunteer for the Qur'an & Sunnah Society of Canada, based in Toronto.

  1. abu-subay'ah says:

salaamu alaykum, we got any bio for shaykh al-abbaadi? i think i remember abdul-monem mentioning something about him before but not for sure. he’s currently the ameer of al-imaam al-albaani center right?

  2. Wa ‘alaikum as-salam wa rahmatullah, bro.

Sorry, no bio for the shaikh. I don’t know much, if anything at all about him. Abdulmonem doesn’t know him either. But yeah, he did mention that the shaikh was the current head of the al-Albani Centre. He’s got a bunch of videos on Youtube of lectures and lessons he’s given. I’ve also been able to find links to his recitation of Surah Maryam. Anyone who wants to check them out, just pop “الشيخ زياد العبادي” into good ol’ Shaikh Google and you should find these things easy.
