Whoever disbelieved in stoning [as a legislated punishment] has certainly disbelieved in the Qur’an without considering. And that is Allah’s statement, exalted is He, «O People of the Book, Our messenger has come to you, clarifying for you much of what you used to hide of the Book, while he excuses much» (5:15). From what they hid was the [law concerning] stoning [as a punishment].
‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbâs, cousin of Prophet Muhammad

A note on the narration’s authenticity from the referenced source:
Authentic. It was published by an-Nasâ’î in al-Kabîr (4/275/7162 & 6/333/11139), at–Tabarî in his Tafsîr (6/103), Ibn Hibbân (10/276-277/4430), and al-Hâkim (4/359).
From the route of: ‘Alî bin al-Husain bin Wâqid, my father narrated to us: Yazîd al-Nahawî narrated to me: ‘Ikrimah narrated to me: from Ibn ‘Abbâs with [the narration].
This is an authentic chain, just as al-Hâkim and adh-Dhahabî said.
